The short version: browse freely and pitch honestly. Your game stays yours. What belongs to us is the Twin Cinder name and this website. And sending us something through this site doesn't start a publishing relationship; that takes a separate written agreement signed by both sides.
The rest of this page spells that out. Twin Cinder ("we", "us") is an independent game publisher operated by Cem Sunay between Istanbul and Zurich. These Terms explain how you may use twincinder.com, what happens when you submit a pitch, and what neither side should assume from using the website.
01 · Agreeing to these terms
By using this website, you accept these terms. If something here doesn't sit right with you, write to us and ask before you go further, or just don't use the site. We keep the rules short on purpose, and we're happy to explain any of them.
02 · Using the site
You're welcome to browse, read, share links to any page, and reach us through the forms. What you may not do: attempt to break, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to the site; submit forms using scripts or bots; automatically scrape, extract or reproduce content for AI training, dataset creation or republication; or impersonate Twin Cinder or another person. Ordinary search-engine indexing and sharing links to the site are welcome.
03 · Pitching a game
Everything you pitch remains yours or your team's. Sending it to us does not transfer ownership, give us the right to publish it, or oblige either side to continue discussions. A pitch is just an introduction. Nothing more happens until both sides decide it should.
To review your pitch, you give us limited permission to receive, store, open, copy and discuss the submitted materials within Twin Cinder and with people helping us evaluate the project. This permission is solely for evaluating the pitch and communicating with you. It does not allow us to publish, sell or develop your game.
We can only take on a small number of projects, so passing on a pitch says nothing definitive about its quality. We may also already be developing, discussing or reviewing projects with similar ideas, mechanics, themes or styles. Similarity alone does not mean that we used your submission. This does not give us permission to copy your protected material.
Only pitch material that you are authorised to share. If a build, document or project belongs partly to a team or another rights holder, make sure you have their permission before submitting it.
We treat pitch materials with care and limit their use to evaluation. However, submitting a pitch does not create a formal legal duty of confidentiality unless we separately agree to one in writing.
04 · Our name, their games
The Twin Cinder name, the twin-shard mark, and the writing and design of this site belong to us. Please don't use them in ways that suggest we endorse, sponsor or publish something we don't. Press and creators may of course use our name and assets to cover us and our games. That's what they're for.
The games we publish belong to the studios that made them. Their titles, characters and artwork stay with them. They license those to us so we can publish, and that is the whole of it.
05 · Newsletter and forms
Give us real contact details so a reply can actually reach you. We may remove signups or ignore submissions that are abusive, automated or plainly junk. You can leave the newsletter whenever you like, and how we treat the personal data involved is covered in our privacy policy.
06 · Other people's platforms
Buttons and links on this site lead to storefronts and social networks that we don't run. Their rules take over the moment you arrive there, and we can't answer for how they operate.
07 · What we can't promise
Games change while they're being made. Titles, dates, features and artwork shown here are current intentions, not commitments, and may shift or disappear before release. The site itself is offered as-is: we work to keep it accurate and online, but we can't guarantee it will always be either.
08 · Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from reliance on this website; for example, a release date that changed, a broken external link, or information that was temporarily inaccurate.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
09 · Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the use of this website will be submitted to the courts and enforcement offices having jurisdiction under applicable Turkish law. Where the parties are legally permitted to agree on jurisdiction, the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul shall have jurisdiction.
10 · Changes
When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, before the new rules apply. Continuing to use the site after that means the current version applies to you.
